Making A Chicago Style Deep Dish/stuffed Pizza, What Is The Difference In Using A Cakepan Vs. Springform Pan?
I want to make a chicago style deep dish/stuffed pizza and I’ve heard people say that they use a springform pan instead of a regular round cakepan. What would be the difference in how my pizza turns out using one pan as opposed to the other? Thank you!
A cake pan is not as deep.
A springform allows you to release the pizza with no muss and fuss.
The cooking time, obviously will vary.

if you use springform pan, it will be easier to remove the pizza once it is cooked because you can remove the sides of the pan.
Unlike a regular baking pan, it will be a bit harder to remove. But by all means, you can still use a regular baking pan.

If you use a springform pan, the sides are locked on but spen the spring and the sides pop right off allowing you to cut the deep dish (or whatever you are baking) easier.

I don’t think it would make a difference in cooking it. I think it would be easier to serve the pizza by removing the sides of springfoam pan versus trying to get under the slice in a cakepan.
